22About your hosts:

Cortijos Rey Fini (previously known as Cortijos del Rey) was bought by Mo Fini and Lucy Davies in 2002. At the time they were various old Shepherd’s buildings.. Traditionally these cortijos were shared among shepherds and sheep during the winter. The sheep would keep one section of the cortijos warm and the shepherd would live together and next to them. Hence the shapes of some of the rooms are long and thin. The original roofs were around one meter in height. We spent the first 6 months converting and improving each section, cultivating new trees and saving some of the old chestnut trees which were half dead due to the introduction of plastic pipes for carrying water rather than the old “ asequia” or irrigation concept that the Moors introduced. Mo Fini was founder of Tumi, Latin American crafts and Music concept starting during late 70’s. A fair trade concept which grew so big that one stage there were over 3000 people involved all over Latin America and Europe.

Having Cortijos Rey Fini in Spain and Refugio Fini Chico in Chile are both our hobbies. However our main activities can be seen in the links below.
