Local Transport

Spain has got excellent public bus and train services.  There are local buses from Trevelez passing the cortijos 3 times a day towards Orgiva.  These buses end up in Granada but you can change buses from Orgiva to Motril, Malaga and other destinations.  The first bus leaves Trevelez at 5.30am and passes the cortijos at roughly 5.45am.  As long as they can see you they will normally stop.  For further timetables see notes at the end of the manual.   There are taxis available both locally and to the airports.  Collections can be made both on line and by telephone.  Autobuses Y Taxi Marquez based in Pitres have individual taxis, minbuses and buses.  For their rates and details see our website or the notes at the end of this manual.

Taxis and buses

Please remember that there are many taxis and companies. We only know the one we trust and regularly use. Prices may vary and are prices that the companies charge you directly. Also timetables are subject to change without notice. Please check them. For buses there is a kiosk in Trevelez where you may check the time table. In Orgiva there is a bigger office.
