If you are more adventurous and like snorkelling, just beyond Calahonda up the hill and through a couple of tunnels, you will find a small beach called La Rijana. You must pass the beach by about 50 metres where there is a lay-by. Turn around in the lay-by and return. You will find a small car park on your right hand side.
During August avoid going to the beach during the weekends and during the weekdays leave early in the morning if you don’t want to get stuck in traffic.
Also please remember there are beaches all along the sea in each village or tourist resort. As a rule we try to avoid them but if you are not worried then do discover other beaches and if you find anywhere nice leave us a message so that we can pass it on to others.
