The Alpujarras has several companies organising horse riding and trekking and giving riding lessons. We suggest that you avoid riding during July and August due to the heat. Close to the cortijos there is a horse riding business based in Bubion called Sierra Trails (spain-horse-riding.com) run by Dallas Love. There is another one in Lanjaron called Caballo Blanco. They offer lessons or trekking, they speak various languages and we have had past guests who have had good experiences with both companies.
